Ten.

Ten.

How is that even possible?

It feels like yesterday I was holding a tiny baby girl in the NICU at CHOP, terrified about what the future would hold and wondering about all the things you would face. And now, somehow, you're officially in the double digits.

Over the last decade, you've taught me so much.

You've taught me to celebrate what makes us different, find joy in the little moments, and appreciate the magic in everyday life.

You've also taught me courage.

You navigate a world that isn't always built for you with a confidence that amazes me every single day. Because of you, our family has learned to advocate, innovate, and help others see that differences aren't something to hide, they're something to embrace.

If I asked you what defines you, you probably wouldn't even mention achondroplasia.

You'd tell people you love Roblox, singing at the top of your lungs, dancing in the living room, swimming all day, spending time with your friends, and ending a long day with a big bowl of ramen.

And that is exactly as it should be.

Watching you grow into the kind, funny, sassy girl you are has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. You remind me every day that strength isn't always loud. Sometimes it looks like a little girl with a huge heart who refuses to let anything stop her from living life to the fullest.

Happy 10th Birthday to the girl who changed our family forever and continues to inspire us every single day.

Never stop dreaming big.
Never stop believing in yourself.
Never stop shining exactly as you are.

I love you more than words could ever say.

Happy Birthday, MJ. 💚

Love,
Mom
